The 10 Best Songs of the Week

Are you desperately looking for brand-new songs to update your Spotify playlist? Don’t worry because we’re (once again) here for you. Every week, we pick the best songs of the week that surprised, moved, or electrified us. Turn up the volume because we discovered some true gems this week.

1. Rina Sawayama — This Hell

Rina Sawayama is the gift that keeps on giving and had some exciting news to share: her second album Hold The Girl will arrive on September 2nd. The lead single “This Hell” merges pop and country with the signature Sawayama-spice. The pop girlies are literally shaking in their boots because the pop phenomenon is dazzling once more with a true gem. Rina Sawayama sets the pop scene on fire with “This Hell” and gets all of our attention.

2. Voidie — gaga

UK’s next hyper pop discovery Voidie already has an amazing EP behind his name and will release his second project claustrophobic this summer. In his new single “gaga” he declares his love for the creativity of pop queen Lady Gaga and plays with a good mixture between soft melodies and distorted beats. We are certainly curious to see where the rest of his music will take him as “gaga” is a very nice next step in his career.

3. UPSAHL — Monica Lewinsky

We recently met UPSAHL for a nice chat during her stay in Brussels, where she already told us everything about her new single “Monica Lewinsky”. The song breathes female empowerment by referencing pop culture icons like Britney Spears and Lindsay Lohan and the energy of the song gets the message even better across. UPSAHL is gonna make history if she continues to release such bangers

4. DAGR x Portugal. The Man — Caravan

With a scorching intro, Texas duo DAGR immediately demands our attention on their new single “Caravan.” The single was created in collaboration with Portugal. The Man, who adds another layer to it. The crazy beats and interesting vocal production sound like a thunderstorm after a summer evening, which is both menacing and beautiful.

5. Conan Gray — Yours

The king of heartbreak is still Conan Gray. The American singer had his ultimate breakthrough through TikTok and is currently presenting his upcoming album Superarche (release: 24 June) on a sold-out European tour. His new ballad “Yours” will also be heard on that tour. The song sums up heartbreak as only Gray can and has the necessary emotional charge to move you. Get your tissues ready!

6. Earl Elliot — Shades

Earl Elliot, who lives in Amsterdam, writes the most beautiful coming-of-age stories, which he repeatedly pours into intriguing pop songs and then translates into even more beautiful music videos. In his new single “Shades,” we get to see him from his sentimental side again, but there is also a sure-fire security in the way he delivers the song. Keep an eye on him because his upcoming music video promises to be an absolute masterpiece.

7. EVAN GIIA — Rabbit Hole

EVIAN GIIA has some true grit and will not let anything or anyone stop her. That’s also what her new track “Rabbit Hole” is all about. With the necessary portion of self-confidence and delicious lyrics, she immediately puts herself back in the spotlight after disappearing from the radar for a few months to work on new music. EVAN GIIA has us all in her grip on “Rabbit Hole”.

8. Rio Rainz — damaged

Every week at ENFNTS TERRIBLES we discover new artists, and this week we had our eyes on 18-year-old Rio Rainz. He debuted his first single “damaged” this week, in which he processes pain and heartbreak. The song was created in collaboration with Ebenezer (Ashnikko) and is just the tip of the iceberg. More music is coming soon, and if it sounds as promising as “damaged”, we could see this becoming something bigger.

9. Boshra — I’m Sorry سامحيني

We’ve been following Boshra for a while, but what she delivers with her new single “I’m Sorry” is something we never saw coming. The dreamy pop song has her typical, mysterious undertone but especially grabs us by the scruff of the neck through the oriental influences that, in all the song’s sobriety, still gain strength. What a monumental song.

10. EMILINE — Brain

Adding EMILINE’s new single to our playlist was an absolute no-brainer. On the upbeat “Brain” she delves into an unexpected crush that turns her world upside down, and we’re also blown away by this pleasing single. The positive energy is splashing, and it’s the ideal song to get the vibes going during these summer months.
